Carp fishing lakes in Braintree, Essex
The fishery was built in 1993 on former water meadows and the lakes each take their names from the original fields on which they now stand.
Hours are 24/7, swim times: 7am-7pm / 7pm -7am
Hill & Black has been transformed into a beautiful, high quality fishing lake that will become a premier catfishing venue and a lake that just must not be missed.
HILL & BLACK LAKE
The Hill & Black Lake is a beautiful 6 acre lake, with 20 pegs, which has been re-designed and an application has been made and awarded for the inclusion of catfish. Traditionally it has suffered from high weed growth and this is something that is being controlled and reduced over time, the water has been dyed blue to prevent this growth, however we will continue to reduce over time. There is a carpark, porta toilets for fishermen convenience and all vehicles are left at owners own risk. You will need a trolly to take gear to your swim and as the name says, Hill and Black and therefore there is an incline up to the lake.
